Executive Coaching in Sarasota: Mindset & Accountability Coaching for Leaders
You already know what you should be doing. The gap is between knowing and doing, and that gap is costing you.
I'm Christina Carey, an executive coach based in Sarasota, Florida. I work with CEOs, executives, and business owners who are done setting goals that quietly slip, and ready for a structure, and a mindset, that makes follow-through automatic.

The most expensive problem in leadership isn't strategy. It's follow-through.
Most executives I meet don't have an information problem. They've read the books. They've sat through the leadership trainings.
They can tell you exactly what to do. About the underperformer they've avoided for six months. About the strategic plan gathering dust. About the calendar that runs their day.
What they don't have is anyone holding them to it.
The higher you climb, the fewer people tell you the truth. Fewer still check whether you did what you said you would.
Your board sees the quarterly numbers. Your team sees your title. Nobody sees the commitments you made to yourself in January that evaporated by March.
That's the gap I work in.
How mindset and accountability coaching works
My coaching combines two things most programs treat separately:
Mindset work, because the follow-through problem is rarely a discipline problem. It's the story underneath: the perfectionism that turns every decision into a stall, the imposter voice that got louder with the bigger title, the belief that asking for help is what other people do. We surface those patterns and replace them with ones that serve the leader you're becoming, not the one you were.
Accountability structure, because insight without a system fades in a week. Every engagement runs on a cadence: clear commitments made in each session, a check-in structure between sessions, and a direct conversation when something slips. Not punitive. Precise. You'll always know what you committed to, by when, and what happened.
Engagements run 6 months with biweekly sessions, in person here in Sarasota or over Zoom if that's easier.

Why executives in Sarasota work with me
I've spent the last several years sitting across from people who, by every external measure, had already won. Women running large teams inside major companies, earning three, four, five hundred thousand dollars a year.
And almost without exception, once we got past the first twenty minutes, the same thing was underneath: I'm not actually that good. I got lucky. Someone is going to find out.
Two hundred of them. Different industries, different companies, the same voice in the background. That's when this stopped being a job for me. These were not people with a skills problem.
They had every skill the role required and a decade of results proving it. What they had was a belief problem, and nobody in their professional life was equipped to name it.
I trained through the full program at the Professional Christian Coaching Institute, an ICF-accredited provider, and I've been coaching for fifteen years, most recently as the mindset and accountability coach for the Her Big Leap program.
What I'm good at is seeing the belief underneath the behavior, saying it out loud, and then holding you to what you decide to do about it.
I coach executives in person here in Sarasota, and clients across the U.S. over Zoom. More about me →

What changes for my clients
The accountability half. A client of mine hit the week everyone hits: self-doubt, the pull of the security she was preparing to leave, excuses to slow down. She brought it to coaching instead of hiding it.
“My caveman brain kicked in. Doubting myself, craving security, making excuses to slow down. One accountability conversation later, I was back in motion: five outreach calls done before lunch, and a hard deadline on the calendar. It scares me and excites me to proclaim it.”
Executive coaching in Sarasota: common questions
- What does executive coaching cost in Sarasota?
- Engagements run six months, billed monthly, $2,000–$3,000 per month depending on scope. I don't sell single sessions or month-to-month. The whole point is a structure that survives a bad quarter, and that takes about six months to build. Full detail on the coaching fees page.
- How is this different from therapy?
- Coaching is forward-looking and performance-focused: goals, patterns, and commitments in your professional life. Therapy treats clinical concerns and heals the past. The mindset work we do overlaps with self-awareness, but I'm not a therapist and will refer out when something needs one.
- How is this different from a peer group like Vistage?
- Peer groups give you perspective from other CEOs once a month. Coaching gives you a dedicated partner focused entirely on you, with accountability between every session. Many clients do both; they solve different problems.
- How long until I see results?
- Most clients feel the shift in the first month, usually because something they'd postponed for a year gets done in week two. Durable change in patterns takes the full engagement, which is why I work in 6-month arcs, not single sessions.
- Do you only work with clients in Sarasota?
- No. I'm based in Sarasota and meet local clients in person here. For everyone else, across Florida and nationally, sessions run over Zoom. You choose which; plenty of local clients pick Zoom simply because it's easier to protect two hours than half a day.
- How do I know if I need an accountability coach or a mindset coach?
- You probably need both. They're two halves of the same method. If you're unsure where your gap is, the free consult call is designed to answer exactly that.
Ready to close the gap?
The consult call is free, 30 minutes, and useful whether or not we work together: you'll leave knowing exactly where your knowing-doing gap is and what it's costing you.
